Turn Up The Heat Culinary
About
As a child, michael and his brothers would sometimes hang out in the kitchen and "help" their mom by being the official "tasters" and picking up simple techniques, which came in handy when he moved out to live on his own, where he began experimenting with different flavors and textures.
After getting married and raising two children, (one is currently a pastry chef and the other a highly regarded sous chef), chef michael attended culinary school at Westlake culinary institute (wci). After graduating, he stayed on as an assistant instructor for two semesters, while also offering his instruction to the general public, where he developed his desire for sharing his knowledge and passion for the culinary arts.
shortly after, he moved on to the prestigious four seasons hotel and resort in Westlake village as a chef of the health and wellness kitchen, a position he maintained for many years.
desiring a new challenge, he accepted a position as the private resident chef at a large, luxury facility in malibu, were he shard his skills to the clients and staff for 3 plus years.
He then decided it was time to return to his love of teaching and became chef instructor at a prominent culinary school in santa barbara, until the dream of owning his own school came to be turn up the heat culinary.
